Newborn Mini Session 

We recommend wearing neutral colors or very small patterns or prints for your photography session. This helps to keep the focus on you and your loved ones in the photos, rather than on distracting or busy clothing patterns. Solid, neutral tones such as soft whites, creams, greys and pastels work well. Avoiding large logos or graphics on clothing is also recommended. It's best to keep the clothing simple, comfortable, and timeless to create beautiful, classic photographs that you will cherish for years to come.

At our photography studio, we believe that every stage of your baby's growth is special and worth capturing. While the ideal age for a newborn photography session is between 5 to 4 weeks old when babies are typically more sleepy and easy to pose, we can work with babies of any age. As your baby gets older, the poses are often more natural and baby-led, and older babies may be less inclined to be wrapped. This does not make your pictures any less special or important. We will work with you and your baby to capture beautiful, timeless memories at any stage of your baby's development.

I would recommend booking your newborn session with us anytime after your 20-week scan. We understand that newborn sessions are best done within the first 14 days of your baby's arrival, so we will pencil in a rough date for your session around your due date and adjust this to when your little one is born. This ensures that we can capture those precious early moments with your newborn while they are still sleepy and curly. Booking in advance also helps us to secure a spot in our schedule, especially during busy times, and allows us to communicate and plan with you all the details for your session. We want to make sure you have a stress-free and enjoyable experience, so having a session booked in advance helps us to prepare and create the perfect environment for you and your baby.

Your session will typically last between 1-2 hours, with a baby-led approach to ensure there is time for feeding, changing, and comforting your baby. It's important to note that some sessions may extend slightly longer, as there is no rush to capture the perfect moments. The focus is on creating a relaxed and comfortable environment for both you and your baby, allowing for natural and beautiful photographs to be taken. At Beyond Memories, your session will be held within our home studio, equipped with specialist photography equipment and lighting. We have a wide range of outfits, wraps, and props available for use during your session. However, if you have anything special or meaningful to your family or little one, we encourage you to bring it along. This could be a favorite toy, a family heirloom, a special blanket, or any other item that holds sentimental value. We would be happy to incorporate these personal touches into your session, creating truly unique and meaningful photographs that capture the essence of your family or little one. One important thing to remember is your change bag, with plenty of milk and nappies. If you are bringing siblings, we also recommend bringing some snacks and treats for bribery. You are more than welcome to bring something to keep them entertained too. At Beyond Memories, we want to ensure that the photo shoot goes smoothly and that everyone is comfortable and happy. Therefore, bringing these essentials will help us to capture beautiful moments with your little ones.

At Beyond Memories, we take great care in selecting the props and accessories for our photography sessions. We utilize a selection of blankets, wraps, props, outfits, and headbands, all of which are washed and sterilized after each session to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Our props are predominantly comprised of neutral colours such as creams and whites, creating a timeless and classic backdrop that keeps the focus on you and your loved ones. While in the studio if you see any prop's you would like to be incorporated into your session please let us know. If you have any favourite items, toys props or outfits you would like to bring to your session, please do bring them along.

After your session, we present you with a gallery of the captured memories. At this point, you can choose a package that best suits your preferences and needs. We offer a variety of packages at different price points, tailored to accommodate the diverse requirements of our clients. We encourage you to review our prices and packages to find the perfect fit for your cherished memories. In terms of payment methods, we accept various options to provide flexibility and convenience. Our clients can pay electronically via credit or debit card, ensuring secure and hassle-free transactions. Additionally, we also accept cash payments for those who prefer this method. We also offer a guarantee to our customers - it is entirely free to attend the photo session, and there is no obligation to purchase anything. Your gallery will be ready for viewing approximately 1-3 weeks after your photoshoot. You will then be sent a 24 hour online viewing gallery. If you would like to view your gallery after this you will be invited to our studio to personally view your gallery in person. This allows you to see the images up close and invest in the package that best suits your preferences and needs.
